Last week, Tina at CarrotsnCake, posted this healthy living survey, and I thought it would be fun to switch things up and answer the questions.
1. What did you eat for breakfast?
I had a package of oatmeal, with a banana, peanut butter, honey and a large cup of coffee. I always make breakfast in the morning, but I never give myself enough time to eat it before I need to leave, so I’ll eat it at work.
2. How much water do you drink a day?
If we include tea, I drink a lot. Especially on days that I go to hot yoga. I typically have a glass of orange juice in the morning, and a large cup of coffee. Then I’ll have one to two liters of water while at work, as well as a couple mugs of tea (usually herbal). Once I get home from work, I’ll usually sip on a couple more cups of tea, and I’ll try for another glass of water. It makes me pee about every 30 minutes, but I do think I keep well hydrated.
3. What is your current favorite workout?
Yoga! It’s pretty much the only kind of workout I do and I absolutely love it.
4. How many calories do you eat a day?
I don’t count calories so I don’t know. I focus on eating when I’m hungry and stopping when I’m full, and try to make healthy choices, at least most of the time.
5. What are your favorite healthy snacks?
I love to snack on fruit and vegetables. Every morning, I cut up a couple pieces of fruit (lately, with winter availability, it’s been a pear and an apple), and snack on them throughout the morning. In the afternoon, I’ll often eat some trail mix as well crackers and hummus. Besides that I enjoy snacking on smoothies, fresh juice, and chocolate (it’s healthy, right?)
6. What do you usually eat for lunch?
I always eat leftover dinner for lunch. I intentionally make too much for dinner so that I can have the leftovers at lunch.
7. What is your favorite body part to strength train?
I love to strength train my core- which I include as my abs, and my back muscles. I hate it while it’s happening, but I love the burn afterwards.
8. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?
My arms. I hate doing pushups and planks because my arms just shake so badly.
9. What are your “bad” food cravings?
I don’t like to refer to food as “good” versus “bad” because then we start to think of ourselves as “good” or “bad” based on our food choices.
If I re-word it to be unhealthy food cravings, then it’s definitely ice cream. I could eat ice cream everyday, all day. In fact, when I was a little girl, I kept a journal and wrote in it, “I can’t wait until I’m an adult and live on my own because then I can eat as much ice cream as I want.” True story- clearly, even as a 10 year old, I knew what was important.
10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?
I take Vitamin D everyday, as during the week, I often don’t see the sun at all during the winter. Therefore, to keep my spirits up, I take one in the morning.
11. How often do you eat out?
Ever since the October eat-in challenge, it’s greatly been reduced. I probably eat out once every couple of weeks now.
12. Do you eat fast food?
I do. Not often, but I don’t deny myself anything. Every blue moon, I’ll go to Rotten Ronnie’s and get myself some fries and a chicken burger. Typically, I’ll only go if I’m really hungover and just want some greasy food. Which maybe happens once a year, at max.
13. Who is your biggest supporter?
Mark definitely is- he’s so supportive of me with everything I do. However, my friends and parents are very close seconds and thirds.
Let me know your guys’ answers! Answer one or answer all!
